Nawaka Africa is a community-based organization and social enterprise that empowers women and youth in disadvantaged communities in Kenya through various creative arts and crafts. We offer a range of programs that include recycled and zero-waste fashion, paper bead making, knitting and crochet, painting and drawing, music, dance, drama, and more. Through these programs, we provide training, mentorship, and opportunities to women and youth, enabling them to develop new skills and create products that are environmentally sustainable.
Women and youth in Kenya face several challenges, related to poverty, inequality, unemployment, lack of education, health challenges and limited access to resources.
