Helping our youth through art programs may be one of the most important steps we can take as individuals and as a society. Art is a valuable tool for discovering, exploring and interpreting reality. Investing in children’s art programs not only exposes the students to the benefits of the arts, they help these children succeed in all school subjects and in life.

Many young people want to get involved with the arts but often do not know how to due to the lack resources, knowledge, and opportunities.

Materials Required For Art and crafts Education

  1. Space of Art Education in the area for a fun, rainy day, activity, painting, and a perfect place to express creativity
  2. Furniture, tables and chairs, lockable storage, and shelves
  3. Tools and materials: crayons, markers, pastels, long -lasting paints, watercolour, acrylic, oil, brushes, glue, canvases, paper and pencil.
  4. Music system, photography equipment                         
  5. One meal a day during the training
  6. Financial assistance for Art Education facilitators

The youths had a good awareness of the benefits of engaging in the arts. It was clear that the idea of the arts seemed extremely attractive to a lot of the young people that participated but the issue was that when it came to go beyond just the thought of it, they were stuck. Many of them did not know how to access the arts and were not aware of the opportunities that are there for them to access.

Youth Appreciation

Youths receiving certificates after completion of the two week Life -Skills and Arts training taught by our team.

Our youth Actitivies

When asked youth what they most enjoyed about the arts activities they engage in, the common themes were a sense of achievement learning new skills, achieving, making a picture that looks realistic and experiencing positive emotions (having fun, drama, dance,  laugh, relaxing, joyful ). Young people were also aware that creative activities offered them an escape from negative emotions and experiences. and opportunities to connect with others

Our youth

“We believe all children are artists.” As part of its mission statement the organization states: “We exist to feed creative development and facilitate emotional expression in children through art and community. To do this, we provide free therapeutic art and creative education programs within schools & children’s organizations by mobilizing teams of community members to bring all forms of art into classrooms.” Art Feeds offers internships.
