Education and Training

Education and training for women  are crucial for women’s empowerment and advancement in Kenya. Access to education is a key factor in improving the lives of women and girls, increasing their economic opportunities, and reducing poverty.

Nawaka Africa recognizes the importance of education and training for women and girls in Kenya, and as part of our mission to empower women and youth, we offer various educational and training programs. These programs are designed to provide women with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their personal and professional lives.

Our programs include vocational training in various fields, including fashion design, knitting, and crochet. We also offer mentorship programs and workshops to help women develop skills in leadership, communication, and entrepreneurship. These programs are tailored to meet the unique needs of women and girls in Kenya and help them reach their full potential.

Through our education and training programs, we aim to equip women with the skills and knowledge they need to become leaders in their communities, break the cycle of poverty, and achieve their goals. We believe that when women are empowered through education and training, they can drive positive change in their families, communities, and society as a whole.

Education and training for youth are important for the development of youth in Kenya. Nawaka Africa recognizes this and has implemented several programs aimed at providing education and training opportunities for young people. These programs include:

  1. Vocational training in various fields such as creative arts, technology, agriculture, and business.
  2. Mentorship programs that connect young people with experienced professionals who can guide them on their career paths.
  3. Scholarship programs that provide financial assistance to talented and deserving students who may not have the means to pursue their education.
  4. Entrepreneurship programs that equip young people with the skills and knowledge needed to start and run their own businesses.
  5. Internship programs that provide young people with practical work experience in various industries, thus enhancing their employability.

Through these programs, Nawaka Africa is able to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to succeed in life and contribute positively to their communities.

Community education and training can take various forms and can be designed to cater to the specific needs of a community. It can involve the provision of skills and knowledge that would enable community members to acquire new skills, improve their existing skills, and enhance their capacity to participate effectively in community development. This can include training in areas such as basic literacy and numeracy, vocational skills, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership, and other life skills. Community education and training can also include awareness-raising programs on health, environment, human rights, and other social issues that affect the community. These programs can help community members to understand their rights, responsibilities, and obligations and equip them with knowledge and skills to take action and participate effectively in the decision-making processes that affect their lives.
